SCOM alert subscription - OR logic keeps changing to AND logic

I'm trying to set up SCOM alert subscriptions for a number of related Dell monitors, I want to trigger notifications on any new critical alerts from any one of 8 different monitors. But every time I build the subscription and save it, my "or" logic is changed to "and" logic. The basic structure isAND Group AND Group severity = critical resolution state = new Or Group monitor = mon1 monitor = mon2 etc But every time I save the subscription, the logic changes and my OR group is replaced with an AND group. Below is the exact formula that changes. When I'm still in the wizard bef

  2. Disk alerts in SCOM

    Hi support,

    I have configured the SCOM.

Tested the SCOM & its working fine. If i shutdown any scom client, then am getting alerts in the SCOM server.

I have configured the RAID5 (in a VM which in Vmwre host) & its shows 3 drives in diskmgmt.msc

If i made offline 1 hdd, then i should get an alert in SCOM. But am not getting.

Please let me know how to fix the issue.

Plz share the exact link to post this question>

    Thanks,

    Hari.

  3. Scom DHCP super Scope monitoring

    Hi All,

In SCOM we have configured our DHCP server for alert monitoring.

We have dhcp super scope available in our DHCP server. Like one SuperScope contains two scopes (scope1&scope2).

Issue is this when scope1 got full utilized like 100% scom send a alert, but there is no issue is production because clients are now taking ips from scope 2.

So suggest how we can restrict SCOM to send mail for scope 1 in this scenario.

Scom is installed on Windows server 2012 server.

    Any suggestions.

SCOM alert subscription - OR logic keeps changing to AND logic

    Huge Logical Drive

    Hi,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

Logical partitions are the smaller partitions that must be created within the extended volume. They are bootable and can be formatted and assigned drive letters. Some find it easier to install the BOOT files for a windows logical
    partition onto a primary partition.

An extended partition is a way to get around a limit on the number of primary partitions a basic disk can have. An extended partition is a container that can hold one or more logical drives.
Logical drives function like primary partitions except that they cannot be used to start an operating system.

Hope it helps. Feel free to get back to us if you need further assistance and we’ll be happy to help.
