Windows 10: Screen balcking out during games

Sometimes during my games, my screen gets all black and Monitor shows me DP no signal. I have double monitor setup. Main one is a 1080p 27inch hooked with displayport while the second one beeing 12 year old monitor hooked with VGA to HDMI adapter. The one i have issue is the main one with Displayport. Havent had that issue before, just started appearing recently. The blackour lasts for like 5-6s before the screen coming back. In that time the second monitor is 100% on with no blackouts. Have tried to reinstall windows, reinstall drivers. I checkt the cables like 10 times if they are hooked up

This issue might occur when the Dota2 game is not installed properly or may be an issue with graphics driver.

I would suggest you to try the below methods and check if it helps.

Method 1:

Uninstall the dota2 game and try installing it again.

Follow the steps below,

• 
  Press Windows key + x on your keyboard.
  
• 
  Select Programs and Features
  
• 
  Right click on the Dota2 game and select uninstall.
  

Download Dota2 game from the Windows store and install it.

Method 2: Update your graphics driver.

Follow the below steps:

1) Press
Windows key + X key when you are at desktop.
2) Select Device Manager.

3) Expand Display Adapter.

4) Right on the Display Adapter and click on
Update driver software.

I've done the Method 2. But still didn't fix the problem, I have the same issue with sir Chris. Each time I open my DOTA 2, only black screen appear but the game sound is on. So if I use method 1, there is a chance I still cant fix the issue. Please help

This issue could occur if the your playing a game at a different resolution than the desktop resolution.

You can install Windows 8/8.1 drivers in compatibility mode from Manufacturer's website, if there are no Windows 10 compatible drivers.

Follow the steps to install in Compatibility mode:

• Download the updated driver from the manufacturer’s website.
• Right click the driver installation file and select Properties then tap or click the
  Compatibility tab.
• Place a check in the Run this program in compatibility mode for: box.
  
• Tap the drop down box and select a previous operating system, then tap or click
  OK.
• Try installing the driver and check.
