Windows 10: Screen/Bar keeps refreshing or something and flashes black every 3 seconds

Okay so hear me out I’m not a very tech oriented person and I can hardly comprehend some of the answers to questions on other sites. Anyway, this is literally making my laptop unusable and I have work that needs to be done for school in like 2 hours so I’m freaking out. So basically it flashes black and everything refreshes, then a few seconds later it does it again. When I open up an app, it isn’t affected by the flashing, but it doesn’t load. So basically, the screen flashes, stuff refreshes, and now I can’t use my laptop. Help would be appreciated sooner rather than later, thx

Screen flashes black for a second

I suggest you to install all pending Windows updates and check as driver updates are also part of Windows updates.

Also uninstall and reinstall Display drivers from manufacturer website and check. Refer the steps below.

Flashing screen and task bar.

After turning on my computer, the desktop comes up.for.about 30 seconds and then the screen goes black and the taskbar at the bottom flashes constantly. I am able to pull up the task manager but because the computer is refreshing about every 3 seconds
it is extremely difficult to type or do anything in the task manager. I followed some instructions about the blank screen but did nothing to fix the refreshing.
