Windows 10: screen becomes black, but desktop icons visible

Hi there, I have windows 10 home, version 1709, latest built.

My problem is that for some days now, out of a sudden the screen become black. The icons on the desktop are still there, but the icons on the taskbar are gone. I can restore everything by open the task manager and restarting windows-explorer. However, this is only a remedy, but not the solution. Any idea what it could be that creates this problem?

Big Surprise - Missing Desktop files

I routinely have files on my desktop that are not visible. The only Icon on a black desktop is the recycle bin. Therefore there is NO place for a file's icon to hide yet they are not there. Viewing the desktop with the File Explorer shows them ON the desktop
but, as stated, they are not!

 

My computer's display keeps getting changed on my tv?

After adjusting the tv ratio, I finally was able to see all of the pinned icons at the bottom, but none of the icons on my desktop are still showing. I tried opening the display option with Windows key + P, but I still can't make any windows visible. The
programs are open, but the only thing it lets me see is the blank desktop. Also, when restarting my computer instead of showing the login screen the screen is completely black.

 

What is the make and model of your computer/motherboard?
Go to the manufacturers Support/Download Drivers site and download the Video driver for your model.

sorry for not filling it out yet. I am new to the forum. I'll do it immediately. So, regarding my PC, I had to look it up. With Win95, XP or others I always had some programs, such as Sandra that told you all the stuff. With win10 I don't know where to look at. Anyway, this is my PC:

it's in German, but you can see that it has a MSI MS-7616 motherboard with Intel P55 chipset.
