  2. Screen brightness issue since 11/17/17 Win 10 update

    • Which version or build of Windows device are you using? To know, press Windows + R to open the Run window. Type winver and press Enter. A new window will open showing the version and build number of
your Windows device. Ver 1709 (OS Build 16299.64)
    • What were the recent changes made on your computer before you experienced this issue? I didn't know that Win 10 had a monitor calibration utility until I started researching the monitor brightness and contrast issue. I was very happy
with the color balance, brightness and contrast of the display until the recent Win 10 update. I can't find the monitor calibration utility.
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far? Please see what I've written above.
    • What is the exact make and model of your computer? Dell Inspiron 3650.
    • Can you check your manufacturer’s website if there’s a new update for your BIOS settings? The BIOS is up to date.
    • Did you receive any error messages? No.

No, that does not work. As I have been saying, the display settings box does not have the color calibration utility on the computer and this build of Win 10. To review what I've already tried and reported back:

    • Which version or build of Windows device are you using? To know, press Windows + R to open the Run window. Type winver and press Enter. A new window

will open showing the version and build number of your Windows device. Ver 1709 (OS Build 16299.64)
