Windows 10: Screen darkens due to inactivity after 15 seconds on new ThinkCentre and I can't figure out why

If I don't move the mouse or type anything for about 15 seconds the screen darkens its brightness automatically and will return to normal if I shake the mouse. This is extremely annoying when I'm working or reading something. I can't figure out how to disable it though. My power plan is set to never turn off the display and it still dims and theres no screen inactivity setting. Is this a problem with the computer? The display is a part of the ThinkCentre so is this a hardware issue?

Nokia2630 screen darkens after 15 seconds,is it normal?

Dear All,

The screen of my newly purchased Nokia 2630 darkens after about 15 seconds, I can see that the cahracters are still there but they are difficult to read.

This makes it e.g. difficult to read a phone number or some other info. If I want the screen to become bright again I have to push any button which has for result that I come onto another screen or the action associated to that button is done. I tought that
I could keep the screen lighting on by setting the sleepmode OFf and the energy saving stand OFF but this doesn't help. there seems to be no menu item available where this screen darkening time can be made longer.

My questions :

1)is it normal that the screen goes dark after a short period ?

2)If yes Can I lengthen the period before the screen goes dark. Setting screensaver time out longer doesn't help.

3)What's the use of havin a screensaver on e.g. the analog clock if you can't hardly see it because thescreen darkens after 15 seconds.

Thanks jimmyireland for your answer but there is on the Nokia 2630 no such field under display settings. the only options in the

display settings list are :

wallpaper

standby mode font clour

notification details

screen saver

power saver

sleep mode

font size

operator logo (is greyed out on my phone)

and finally

cell info display

as already said in my initial mail when I turn power saver OFF and/or sleep mode OFF this doesn't change the screen darkens after about 15 secs
