Windows 10: Screen display appears washed out.

After the latest Windows update, my display screen appears to be "washed out". The colors are dull and without contrast. I tried several fixes, including updating display driver, reverting back to an old driver, turning off HDR, etc. The black colors especially look grey and dull. There is no contrast. In my internet search, It seems like many people have this issue. Any advice would be helpful.

I wonder why nobody has suggested the OP to make a screenshot of display showing these "washed out colors"? Everything I have read in this thread suggests that the issue is not in Windows, but instead in display / monitor.

My suggestion: next time you'll see these washed out colors, make a screenshot and post it here. If the screenshot shows us that colors are OK, then the issue is your monitor failing.

Lumia 620 - screen appears washed out/ greyish

Hi, My Lumia 620 screen appears greyish with a washed out black background - I tested this when it was pitch dark as well as in full light (all times from direct front facing and not held at an angle). Also, tested in lowest as well as highest brightness,
but the same issue. I know it is not an AMOLED like my other Lumia 800, but I still feel it should stand by its clearblack display technology and not look so washed out/ greyish... Any one else experienced a similar issue??
