Windows 10: Screen driver, error 87!

OS W10, DELL XPS 8900, 16 GB, i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz.

Screen driver, error 87! Result: ADOBE Photoshope and Premiere Elements are not working, nor can be started, only the box has a message about the previously specified error. Online, the error is recognized and many instructions on how to fix it, but I have not found any reliable and promising advice.

I'm asking for your advice!

Missing Files - Dism.exe Error 87

Hi

Im having the same issue. I tried the directions you gave Larry

Sfc reported no errors so I moved onto the next step.

Dism cane back with error 87

The online/cleanup-image is unknown.

For more information refer to the help by running dism.exe/?

I did run that and found an online option to which i also recieved an error code 87

Not sure where to go from here.

 

Computer randomly has black screen and restarts

Taco this could be software also. Before you get all crazy, do as Erocker suggested. Find out the error in the Event Viewer. Look for the faulting module and the error code itself. Also check the reliability monitor. At the bottom it will have "View all Error Reports". Post a screen of whats in there if anything.

This could be a simple as a bad driver install.

ALSO have you downloaded or installed anything lately? STAY OUT OF THE DAMN BIOS UNTIL WE KNOW THE ERROR! lol. I know you. Baby steps boy, baby steps.
