    Screen flashes normal, to black to normal


    HP laptop 17-cn0xxx.... Win 11 pro...Screen intermittently flashes normal, to black and back to normal... 1 thousand 1, 1 thousand 2, 1 thousand 3.I have ran all Hp and Microsoft trouble shooters to no avail.Trouble shooters say "display driver" is fine."Any program' open, flashes when screen flashes on and off. No error messages.Please advise.

    Screen goes black then to normal but.

    I just build a laptop with enough high rig to run windows 10(graphic card is still to be added) and installed windows 10 on it but after installing windows 10,I started to install gigabyte ga-h270m-d3h motherboard drivers but suddenly screen went black
    then went back to normal but mouse dissappeared,apps were running in backgroup but no UI was seen on desktop,ctrl+alt+del kept the black screen then after I restarted the Pc,it only appeared black screen after a beep(which is normal) from cpu and I have re-installed
    windows like 5-7 times but still the same(i even re-downloaded windows 10 twice)

    Urgent help needed

    Is this normal?

    I have a 5870 and i get that some times. I think is because of the SSD's speed or at list that didn't happened wen i was on a normal HDD.

    Still not sure if it's normal or not.

    This issue might occur if there is change in system settings.



    To assist you to better, please provided us the information below:

    • When you say that "it needs more time or it stuck somehow", what is the current status of the issue? Is the computer still stuck at black screen or in process of resetting the computer?


    If the computer in process of resetting, then I suggest you to wait for some time.



    I suggest you to refer to the suggestion provided in the Microsoft Help Article about black screen issues and check if it helps.
