Windows 10: Screen flashing and UI not working

I’ve been experiencing issues with trying to access my laptop, the screen keeps flashing and the UI is not responsive. I’ve tried repairing windows with the iso file from the website and that doesn’t work as I have to access windows, which I obviouslg can’t do. I’ve checked all over the internet and nothing works, all I definitely know is that I’m facing a stacked buffer overflow error. I’ve tried a system restore and it doesn’t do a thing, I had 2 restore points and none of them worked. I’m considering starting afresh but I’d like to do everything before starting again, please help

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

• Have you installed all pending Windows updates?
• Do you get any error message?
• What is the make and model of your computer?

I suggest you to install all pending Windows updates and check as driver updates are also part of Windows updates.

Updates are additions to software that can help prevent or fix problems, improve how your computer works, or enhance your computing experience.

Also uninstall and reinstall Display drivers from manufacturer website and check. Refer the steps below.

  Press “Windows + X” and select
  Device Manager.

  Select Display Adapter and expand the driver icon.
  
• 
  Right click on the driver icon and click on
  Properties.
  
• 
  Go to Driver tab.
  
• 
  Select Uninstall and follow onscreen instructions.

Run CMD


1. diskpart
2. list disk

Then in the 3º step, put the correct number of disk in the list for the usb flash (if it's listed in disk 3, then you'll have to write select disk 3).

2. select disk #
3. clean
4. create partition primary
5. select partition 1
6. active
7. format fs=fat32
8. assign
9. exit

with that commands you will format the flash drive in fat32, if you have a large drive you can select also "format fs=ntfs" in step 7.
