Windows 10: Screen flashing windows 10 base color help!

So last night I was just playing some among us and turned my pc off by accident. When I turned it back on it seemed fine. I logged in normally but then when I got to the home screen it started flashing my basic windows color every few seconds. I coudnt open any apps, or open the search bar. However the wierd thing is that when I did ctrl-alt-dlt it was fine. When it got to the menu it stoped. Task manager wasn’t flashing but the rest of the screen was. I’ve tried rebooting, uninstalling and reinstalling my gpu, using my cpu to boot, and launching in safe mode. If anyone knows how to fix this it would mean a lot. thx

Windows 10 Screen Flashing/inverting colors

Hi,

Since troubleshooting steps were provided, what I can suggest is for you to try to configure the settings on your monitor's color management. Kindly follow the steps provided below:

• Open Color Management by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type color management, and then click Color
  Management.
• Click the Advanced tab, and click Change system defaults.
• Click the Advanced tab in the Color Management - System Defaults dialog box, and do one of the following:
  
  - To prevent Windows from loading display calibrations, clear the Use Windows display calibration check box.
• Click Close in the Color Management - System Defaults dialog box.
• Click Close in the Color Management dialog box.

Windows screen flashing based on the color of personalization

Hi, I recently built a new computer and installed windows on it.

Whenever I turn on my computer, the screen briefly flashes the color of my personalization settings before going to the loading screen. The same happens when I press the sleep function on my computer.

To troubleshoot, I have tried:

1. Changing the RAM (I OCed the previous pair)
   
2. Booting windows up in safe mode
   
3. Changing the HDMI cable
   
4. Using a different monitor
   
5. Using a different output from my GPU
   
6. Uninstalling the latest windows update
   
7. Doing a fresh install of windows on my SSD
   

However, the biggest break for me was that I realised that the flashing was linked to the theme color personalization settings that I had made.

I think it might be linked to the fact that the loading speed is fast so the computer jumps between screens really fast, but I am not too sure about this.

Right now, the only way that I can make it less noticable is to make my personalization theme a dark color so the contrast is not so great when the screen flashes, but that is a temporary fix.

Is there any way to fix this issue? Thanks in advance!

 

Window background color - I don't appear to be able to do this on windows 10 as the change color scheme bit isn't there.

I suggest you to follow the below steps to change color scheme for Windows 10 and check if it helps.

• Right click on “Desktop screen”.
• Then click on “Personalize”.
• Click on “Colors”.
• And change the color accordingly.
