    Screen flickering and cannot use any apps


    Hello


    Last night I left my pc on and went to work, when I got back both of my monitors were flickering and there are no apps open and if I click on anything it immediately closes even the task manager. The issue is also happening in safe mode. I tried to restore to a restore point couple of days ago but it keeps failing to do so. All the solutions I found assume that I can click and open stuff but I can't even open the start menu with out it immediately closing.

    Hi Yasmeentq,

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    I understand your query. I suggest you to follow the steps to get out of safe mode.


    • Press Windows key + R

    • Type msconfig

    • In msconfig > Boot tab >
      Boot Options > uncheck Safe Boot > APPLY / OK.

    I haven't made any changes on my device. This screen flickering is only happening in Safe Mode.
