Windows 10: Screen Flickering and other Windows10 issues

For the last couple days I've had plenty issues with my laptop. I already tried multiple times to format my drives and reinstall windows but for some reason Windows stops working after some days.

The only apps I've installed so far when reinstalling the drives are google chrome and steam. This is only after making sure all the drivers are up to date.

I've had the screen flickering black issue and since task bar is unaffected it suggests an incompatible app. I've in this ocassion tried uninstalling recent apps to see if it fixes it with no luck.

After I restart the computer, Windows will stop from booting even in safe mode, giving me the BSOD every time. It is extremely annoying and I am out of ideas at this point. I've ran the hardware scans with no issues detected.

Tonight when trying to troubleshoot before restarting the computer during the screen flickering, I received a "Element Not Found" error when trying to open the Control Panel or run any troubleshooting test.

Any ideas? I don't care for any personal information so am down to delete any of it. I just want whatever will make it work.

I haven't made any changes on my device. This screen flickering is only happening in Safe Mode.

Screen flickering can be caused by hardware or application issue.

• Is the issue only happening in Safe Mode?
• Have you made any changes on your device prior to the issue?

Screen Flickering

Return that card for something else. I've heard of many issues with Asus Direct Cu 7970's. You could try finding a different monitor to see if your monitor is the problem, but I doubt it.

**I though you tried differnet cables. Buy a new cable and try it. Get a Dual Link DVI cable.

Here's a list.

1. Uninstall and reinstall video drivers.

2. Replace cable

3. Try different monitor

4. Try different video card

5. Replace video card.

If you can do any of the steps above, just skip to step #5.
