Windows 10: Screen flickers when I connect to usb on pc

Hi, I noticed a few days ago that the usb drivers are doing something weird. Every time I plug in my external hard drive the screen flickers for a second, it goes skeleton colored for a second even when unplugging.

What is the problem?

My pc is only 2 yrs old. I have a Asus Vivobook.

I understand your query. I suggest you to follow the steps to get out of safe mode.

• 
  Press Windows key + R
  
• 
  Type msconfig
  
• 
  In msconfig > Boot tab >
  Boot Options > uncheck Safe Boot > APPLY / OK.
