Windows 10: Screen freeze after inserting usb with windows 10

I downloaded windows 10 from official Microsoft site with MCL on a usb.When i insert the usb in my new laptop the screen freeze,then at some point it turns blue and it turns off.Im using a msi katana laptop.Please help.

Windows 10 USB boot

Hi there, am not a windows 10 expert. I have a pc in the bedroom on windows 10, I messed up the bootloader trying to fix the xp on that system.

System wont boot, trying to repair via win 10 usb installer.

Downloaded the media creation tool to install windows 10 installer on usb stick. Not compatible with a host of usb sticks I have. Tried the usb sticks that others use, but I think they use rufus; as the media creation tool by win 10 does not detect the usb stick.

So quick question, the win10 machine i am trying to repair the bootloader is a win7 upgraded to win10.
If i were to use the usb win10 installer to "repair installation" does the version of the iso downloaded via the media creation tool matter?

There is three options:
Windows 10
Windows 10 Home
Windows 10 N

Also is there a step by step instead of using rufus as I want to try an alternative method of creating a usb win 10 installer. Preferably with more compatibility.

System is a asus sabertooth 990 (r2?) with AMD phenom X 6.

Also is there any other software I can load onto the usb that can repair the bootloader easily?

Help : Inserting USB Hard Drive freezes/locks pc & blank screen

I a friend of mine has a wd 160 gb usb externel hd.
He reinstalled his pc a while back win xp pro and patched it with autopatcher juli for security fixes because hd raid config gave some problems.

Now sometimes when he insertes his usb drive the pc freezes and screen goes blank.
He tried all usb ports on his pc.

Has anyone have these problems before?

The above issue might occur due to incompatible/non-updated USB drivers installed or if third party applications/programs conflicting with the USB drive on the computer.



Before we assist further, when you say “I changed my windows many time”, are you referring to re-installation of Windows 10 on the computer?



Method 1: Running the troubleshooter will help in detecting and identifying the issue and in certain cases will fix the same to enhance the performance of the computer.



Step 1: Run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter by following the steps below and check if any of the hardware components is missing or corrupted on the computer.

• Press Windows logo key on the keyboard, type troubleshooter and select the top most search result.
• Click on View all from left side panel of the screen.
• Select Hardware and Devices, click on Advanced
  option and check Apply repairs automatically option.
• Follow the on screen instructions and wait for the troubleshooting to complete.
• After troubleshooting is completed, check the status of the troubleshooter shown on the window.

Step 2: Run System Maintenance troubleshooter by following the steps below and check the status of computer behavior. System freezes and other irregular behaviors is mostly caused due to the unwanted/unused
files retained in the PC.



System Maintenance troubleshooter will find and clean up unused files and shortcuts present on the system and perform maintenance tasks which will enhance the performance of the PC.

• Press Windows logo key on the keyboard, type Troubleshooting and select the top most search result.
• Select View all from the left side panel of the window.
• Select System Maintenance from the listed options, click on
  Advanced option and check Apply repairs automatically
  option.
• Follow the on-screen instructions and wait for the troubleshooting to complete.
• After the troubleshooting is completed, check the status for any missing system components on the computer.
• Close the window and check if the changes are effective.

Method 2: If the issue persists, update the USB drivers installed on the computer manually from
Device manager by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard and select
  Device manager from the context menu.
• Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers and check if the XBOX360 controller drivers are visible. If visible, right click on the driver and select
  Update this software from the context menu.
• Follow the onscreen instructions and wait for the update to complete.
• Close the window and check if the changes are effective.
