Windows 10: Screen freeze due to video_tdr_failure

hey everyone,these last few months i've been having trouble with my pc freezing at random moments. Most often the screen goes black and any sound that was playing turns into a continues beep. Sometimes sound keeps playing, but the screen freezes. In both cases the system is irresponsive to mous and keyboard and i have to do a forced shutdown. It usually happens when i start a gaming or test something on a vr device connected to my pc, so graphic intensive tasks, but very infrequently once per week or less. It also only happens when i start the task, never after a few hours, so i don't think

The Video_TDR_Failure error may have been caused by an incompatible display driver. Since you mentioned that you already updated the graphics card driver, we suggest performing the steps provided on this

Screen Freezing up

Andre, thanks for your suggestions. I performed all steps as you listed and it appears that there were

some problems that have been corrected. I will let you know in a day or so if the "freeze" problem

occurs again. Many thanks for your help --- this took longer than I expected!
