Windows 10: Screen Freeze

Hey guys, I am facing a screen freezing issue after update the graphic drivers. or this is not the cause?


This is the laptop I am using: System Model TUF Gaming FX505DY_FX505A.

I update my drivers through Device Manager.


Here is what I have done.

1. Go to Device Manager.

2. Click on Display adapters.

3. Right click on AMD RadeonTM Bega 8 Graphics and click on update driver.

4. Click on Search automatically for drivers.

5. Restart the laptop.

6. Right click on AMD RadeonTM Bega 8 Graphics and click on update driver.

7. Click on Search automatically for drivers.

8. It shows 'The best drivers for your device are already installed'.

9. Right click on Radeon RX 560X and click on update driver.

10. Click on Search automatically for drivers.

11. Restart the laptop.

12. Right click on Radeon RX 560X and click on update driver.

13. Click on Search automatically for drivers.

14. It shows 'The best drivers for your device are already installed'.



I thought everything goes fine until when I see the AMD RadeonTM Bega 8 Graphics driver can update again after I updated Radeon RX 560X driver.

The same goes to Radeon RX 560X driver, after I updated AMD RadeonTM Bega 8 Graphics driver, I can update the Radeon RX 560X driver.


The screen freezing is annoying. I can do nothing except force shut down the laptop and restart which I think is harmful to the laptop.

Can anyone help me to solve this issue? Thank you very much.

Screen Freezing up

Andre, thanks for your suggestions. I performed all steps as you listed and it appears that there were

some problems that have been corrected. I will let you know in a day or so if the "freeze" problem

occurs again. Many thanks for your help --- this took longer than I expected!
