  1. Screen freezes, but game still runs in background. Possible Fixes?

On some of the games i play, my screen will occasionally freeze, but the game will still be running unaffected. In Diablo IV this happens frequently, while in other games, it happens sparsely, and only when i open a menu. Alt tabbing will resume the game screen without any problem. Its only an annoyance but I would like to find a solution. I have tried updating and reinstalling GPU drivers to no success. My Bios is also up to date. I have also tried disabling all in game overlays, rivatuner etc. which didnt help either.windows 11 x646800xtryzen 5 7600x32gb ram

  3. System Stopped Responding aka Freezed

Thank you for your prompt response. Based on your answers, there are possibility that some components of the game are corrupted. If your game is freezing or not responding, uninstalling and reinstalling it will remove and replace the files that run the game.

Here are the steps on how to uninstall and reinstall your game:

    • Select All apps, and then find your game in the list.
    • Right-click the game tile, and then select Uninstall.

  4. Screen freezes, but game still runs in background. Possible Fixes?

    Background applications

    Hi Robert,

We understand that you don't want some apps to run on the background of your computer. What we suggest is to
control which apps are allowed to run in the background. To see which apps have permission, just follow the below steps:

    • Open the Start menu or Start screen and select “Settings.”
    • Click or tap the “Privacy” icon in the Settings.
    • Scroll down to the bottom of the list and select “Background apps.”
    • You’ll see a list of apps that have permission to run in the background with an “On/Off” toggle.
Just bear in mind that, apps normally run in the background to update their live tiles, download new data, and receive notifications. If you want an app to continue performing these functions, you should allow it to continue running in
    the background.

Feel free to update us with the results.
