Windows 10: Screen Freezes

Hello,For awhile, I have been dealing with this issue. While opening/starting different games, the PC "freezes" meaning the image and all windows on the desktop are not interactable. You can see the mouse move around on the monitor and you can still hear audio for awhile. The only way to resolve it is to disconnect the cable connected to a duplicated/cloned image from the GPU or doing a hard reset powering off then back on. Andre, thanks for your suggestions. I performed all steps as you listed and it appears that there were

some problems that have been corrected. I will let you know in a day or so if the "freeze" problem

occurs again. Many thanks for your help --- this took longer than I expected!
