Windows 10: screen freezing with error message desktop windows manager crahsed

when i play certain games my pc freezes but i can still hit f7 and pause music and use push to talk in discord but my screen is frozen and nothing new is displayed, when i restartsome times when i restart it doesnt boot back up and go to reliability monitor it says the error was desktop windows manager crashed. I figured it was a cpu issue like over heating so i reapplied thermal paste and that seem to work for about 5-6 weeks but now it is crashing again and im not sure if its a hardware issue or software.here is error message:SourceDesktop Window ManagerSummaryStopped worki

Desktop freeze after log in

• Did you make any recent changes on your computer prior to this issue?
• What other troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
• When the computer freezes, do you get an error message?

Windows Update Error Message 0x80070543


Ya Ya Ya, there's over a hundred threads like this, ...

Anyway, started getting this error message a few days ago, and done a lot of searching on this error message, apparently it's not, uncommon.

In particular, the (currently) 4 updates that are being affected are:

• Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3173428) - Error 0x80070543
• Security Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3172729) - Error 0x80070543
• Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3174060) - Error 0x80070543
• Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3176493) - Error 0x80070543

The actions I've taken to date are:

1. Uninstalled firewall program (comodo)
2. Uninstalled anti-virus (Avast)
3. Reset the windows update catalog on local machine.

So the above errors are with the above done.

What other steps should I be taking to resolve the issue?

Below is notations for when I actually add to this thread.

This issue might have happened due to the hardware replacement on your device.

Step 1: I suggest you to install all the pending updates on your device and check if it helps.

Steps:

• Connect to the internet.
• Press Windows key and type
  updates.
• Click on Check for updates.
• Under Windows Updates, click on
  Check for updates.
• Try to install the updates being shown.

Step 2: Also, contact your device manufacturer's website and update the BIOS drivers to check if the issue persists.
