Windows 10: Screen froze an upond restarting monitor it said no connection

I was writing code in PopSQL and when compile the code my computer froze. I tried turning my monitor on and off again to see if it was hopefully not the PC but upon turing my monitor back on it said it was getting no input. I switched the HDMI from my graphics card to my motherboard but still nothing came up. I had reset my computer and upon restarting it said that I had run out of password attempts and had me input a code to verify I was a person. NOTE: I have come home to my computer asking the same thing which makes me believe there may have been a power surge before or the pocket lost pow

Things to do once connected new G-Sync monitor

I'm getting my G-Sync monitor today.

I think I have to take the following steps:

• Connect 1440p G-sync monitor with DP cable
• Connect second 1080p 60Hz monitor by HDMI
• Startup PC
• Reinstall display driver
• Restart PC (I always do that after display driver install)
• Activate G-Sync in NV control panel (I believe also V-Sync is auto on after that?)
• Set my 1440p monitor from 1080p to 1440p
• Calibrate my 1440p monitor

Also ingame, I should turn off V-Sync?
Are there any problems running a second 60Hz 1080p monitor?

Is there anything else I should do/know?

• What changes did you make in the BIOS? As making the changes in the BIOS is only recommended by Microsoft if done by the manufacturer.
  

• How are you connecting to the 2nd monitor?

Computer randomly has black screen and restarts

Taco this could be software also. Before you get all crazy, do as Erocker suggested. Find out the error in the Event Viewer. Look for the faulting module and the error code itself. Also check the reliability monitor. At the bottom it will have "View all Error Reports". Post a screen of whats in there if anything.

This could be a simple as a bad driver install.

ALSO have you downloaded or installed anything lately? STAY OUT OF THE DAMN BIOS UNTIL WE KNOW THE ERROR! lol. I know you. Baby steps boy, baby steps.
