Windows 10: Screen goes black but is still on during Windows Update

My laptop went through a full Windows reinstallation, and I was missing a lot of drivers as a result. I am currently redownloading and installing them, but suddenly my screen is blank, and I am not able to see a cursor or anything. I’m assuming this is due to the overwhelming number of updates, but I’m not sure. What should I do to fix this? Or should I wait? It’s clear that it is still on, but idk how to proceed.
