Windows 10: Screen goes black only in fullscreen with Netflix, Disney+, or Amazon Prime apps

StartFragmentHi everyone, I’m having a strange issue on my Windows PC. When I launch streaming apps like Netflix, Disney+, or Amazon Prime Video and switch to fullscreen mode, my screen goes black. However, the audio keeps playing, and everything works fine when I stay in windowed mode. This problem only happens with these apps and only in fullscreen—other applications and videos run normally in fullscreen. Has anyone experienced this or found a solution? Could this be related to display drivers, hardware acceleration, or Windows settings? Thanks in advance for your help! EndFragment

Screen goes black in fullscreen during night time only

I have a Surface Pro 7 and whenever I use fullscreen at night the screen will turn black. I can still hear the audio but I cannot see the video. I have tried this on multiple different applications such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc. This problem does
not occur during the day.

I have updated the display drivers and still nothing has changed.

 

Streaming Netflix or Amazon Prime showing only a green screen

I followed the steps but got to message that my device (a new Acer laptop) was up to date. Was no choice offered to update drivers. Not sure what to try next. It seems to have something to do with this being a new laptop.

Have also tried uninstalling/reinstalling both Netflix and Amazon Prime apps.

 

I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and now my Netflix and Amazon Prime movies do not work for me.

• Have you installed any third party antivirus on your system?
• How do you access Netflix and Amazon Prime movies ? ( web browser or app)

You can also watch Netflix movies and Amazon Prime movies using the Xbox App.
