    Hello, I'm having problems after the latest system updates. Since yesterday when I connected my notebook to the external ultrawide monitor over time it started to go black for one to two seconds and then it went back to "normal". These Blackouts are more and more recurring until it is practically impossible to use the monitor. During Blackouts, small artifacts appear. I already tested and changed the HDMI cable and the problem continues. I have already tested connecting another computer to the monitor and it works normally. I was in doubt if it was a hardware problem GPU-CPU, but when bootin

    what if the screen goes black and doesn't go back to normal?

    when overclocking the gpu core u dont always get nice "nearly" there artifact warning.. the black screen is just when the vpu recovery hasnt worked..

    its best and quicker to find your high point by hand with the sliders anyways.. to overclock anything u at least need a vague idea off how fast things will go before u start.. just move up to that point gradually step by step.. the black screen just means your gpu tripped over it own feet and crashed cos it was going too fast..

    the memory will likely produce visible (furry dice) artifacts.. the core might just lock up or crash.. take thing backs about 10mhz from these high points.. run a few instances of 3dmark2005 and see what happens.. if it runs few 3dmarks its likely okay..

    Artifacts on screen. Screen goes black

    Looking at those screen shots now, from my phone, i realize there is no artifacts. What does that mean? I also realize now that due to artifacts showing on bios it isn't a driver issue. Would that be a correct observation?

    What is causing the black screen in normal windows boot?
