  1. Screen going black MDM ConfigurationManager errors

Past few weeks my monitor just goes black on random moments and says 'DisplayPort-1 NO SIGNAL' after a few seconds it goes back to normal and sometimes I even need to restart my pc. Sometimes it happens like 3 time in an hour and sometimes it's fine all day. When I look in Event Viewer I always get 3 errors at the time of the monitor going black.Error:MDM ConfigurationManager: Command failure status. Configuraton Source ID: {3C9BCD17-F70D-48D9-B0C4-4E158E8144F4}, Enrollment Type: FamilySafety, CSP Name: AppLocker,

  3. Screen going black (MDM ConfigurationManager errors)

    Hi Luc -

    1) MDM errors are unusual in consumer editions. it is used by Enterprise. If you are part of an organization you should Ask your IT administrator or at our sister forums for IT Professionals, Q&A forums here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-US/answers/index.... as Microsoft Community is strictly an end-consumer forum.

Solutions we give here will conflict with the organization''s Group Policy which we do not use in consumer forums at all.

There are also equally good (and sometimes busier) 3rd party IT Pro forums here:
    Forums Archive
    Home |

    2) If this is consumer Windows then if any steps cannot be performed normally then try them in 1) Safe Mode with Networking (so you have internet) or 2) Safe Mode, accessed by one of the illustrated steps in this guide: https://winaero.com/how-to-boot-windows-11-in-s...

You will need to use your password to get into Safe Mode as a PIN is not accepted.

If this is not enough I will help you do repairs from the WinRE Repair Mode or bootable media using Command Prompt, System Restore, Uninstall Updates button and other tools that will allow most of these repairs to be run from the WinRe repair mode or bootable media.

    3) Try these fixes for black screens:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14106/...

    https://www.lifewire.com/fix-black-screen-in-wi...

No Display or Black Screen on a Computer Monitor

    https://www.windowscentral.com/how-fix-black-sc...

    4) Go over Windows using this checklist to make sure the install is set up correctly, optimized for best performance, and any needed repairs get done: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki...

Start with Step 4 to turn off Startup freeloaders which can conflict and cause issues, then Step 7 to check for infection the most thorough way, then step 10 to check for damaged System Files, and also Step 16 to test a new Local Admin account to replace yours which may be corrupted. Then if necessary continue with the other steps to go over your install most thoroughly.

    5) Update all drivers and BIOS/UEFI firmware from PC or motherboard maker's Support Downloads web page, using the full model number, Serial Number or Dell Service Tag on sticker.

Compare the latest drivers available for download with the ones presently installed in Device Manager reached by right clicking the Start button. Make sure you have the latest BIOS or UEFI firmware, Chipset, Display (Video), Sound, USB3, Bluetooth, Network and all other drivers, or else download and install the latest now.

Updating drivers from the Device Manager or Windows Update is rarely enough. The most basic thing we need to learn to maintain a PC is keep the latest manufacturer's drivers installed from their Support Downloads web page.

    6) If nothing else works then do the minor, non-destructive Repair Install which reinstalls Windows while keeping your files, apps and most settings in place, brings it up to the latest version and solves most problems.

Feel free to ask back any questions. If you'll post back detailed results then I may know what to suggest next, if necessary.

Windows 10 - MDM ConfigurationManager: Command failure status

    Hi,

I have 2 laptops at home all 3 running Windows 10 1909 Build 18363.836. On both laptops I am the administrator and my children who use outlook.com accounts are linked as children under family account. As Family account we get weekly status of sites used,
    screen time and activity report.

On both laptops we get the below error and this has started only 2 weeks back.

MDM ConfigurationManager: Command failure status. Configuraton Source ID: ({6DE604F8-98D3-4F93-A19C-85E4FD4DEEFC}), Enrollment Type: (FamilySafety), CSP Name: (AppLocker), Command Type: (Add: from Replace or Add), Result: (./Vendor/MSFT/AppLocker/FamilySafety/FamilySafetyGroup/StoreApps/Policy).

    .

On 1st laptop after this error the laptop goes to sleep and on the 2nd laptop get the blue screen/dump.

Need hep to resolve this issue immediately as the children have to answer their exams online next week and the laptops should not reboot.

    Thanks
