Windows 10: screen is broken and i cant see in safe mode

have an external monitor because my laptop screen is broken and i cans see like 2 inches in the bottom right corner.When i tried to open my laptop today the screen turns on monitor but only opens either only with the time or opens but has a dim brightness.Also i can see the cursor but when i try to move it around nothing happens.Aswell i cannot make any commands after the laptop was booted only when it is in the procces of bootinglike enetring safe mode.The pnly thing that may have affected it was the favt that i optimesed my games and update my driver in the Nvidia app

Is Safe Mode Broken?

Is anyone else able to confirm that safe mode is broken? Whichever method you prefer, navigate to the screens below. First is the screen before you actually select anything and it just initiates a restart and the second is where you actually select safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode command prompt, etc.

So after restart is the safe mode selection screen there and can you select an option? I note my bcd efi file has a date modified of 4/30 which is when KB4023057 was installed. My second screen doesnt launch. Any ideas?

Have you tried all the above steps suggested by Sangeeta Sarkar on September 13, 2015.

I would suggest you to provide some information to help you better.

• Are you trying to login the Microsoft account or the Local account in safe mode?
• Did you try with only safe mode or safe mode with networking?
• What is the critical error you are getting?

If you are using Windows 10. To go to safe mode you have to follow the below steps.

If you are able to go to login screen in normal mode try the below steps to go to safe mode with networking.

• 
  At the login screen click on the power symbol.
  
• 
  Hold SHIFT + Click Restart.
  
• 
  After restarting your system, select the Troubleshoot option.
  
• 
  Select advanced options under
  Troubleshoot screen.
  
• 
  Click on Startup Settings.
  
• 
  Click Restart and follow the onscreen steps to go to
  Safe Mode with networking and check if you are able to login.

Is Safe Mode Broken?

No, Safe mode is not broken.
- I successfully went into Safe mode only a couple of days ago.
- All the screens worked for me.
