Windows 10: Screen is locked due to trojan virus. Please call support.

I opened a email link in Outlook that was allegedly from my accountant. When I clicked it, my screen froze and said I had been infected by a trojan virus. It said that I should call Microsoft support and not turn off my PC or my information would be lost.I did not call the number because I suspected it was a ruse. I did not click any further links or enter any information. I just left it there with the robot lady talking for like 30 min while I got in touch with my IT. They told me to hard shut the PC off and that it was a scam. They’re going to come pick up the PC to look at it.I’ve seen othe
