Windows 10: Screen recorded an hour and a half, then it randomly said "Screen Recorder not working" and...

Hello, I was recording an art piece I was doing on Krita on a Windows laptop, and an hour and half in, it completely shut down. It claimed to have an error and now I have lost ALL that footage. Does anyone know how to get that back? Is there a way to find it again? And is my screen recorder broken?? Thanks!

Hi,

To resolve your concern about screen recorder, follow the steps below:

• Click on the Windows logo found at the lower left hand corner of your desktop.
• Go to Settings.
• Click on System.
• On the left hand side, click on Storage.
• Click on This PC.
• Scroll down, and click on Temporary files.
• Click on Delete temporary files.
• Restart your computer, and then try screen recorder again.

Regarding the Windows shortcut for your screen recorder, follow the steps below:

• Open your Xbox application.
• On the left hand side, click on the Settings icon.
• Click on the Game DVR tab.
• Make sure Record game clips and screenshots using Game DVR is
  On.

I wanted to ask why doesn't the screen recorder work while playing Counter Strike on Windows 10 ? And can you suggest about screen recorder for Windows 10 ?

 

Record 1080p video with Fraps on 1280x1024 screen?

I found out it's possible! I've used this on my netbook because its limited to 1024x600. Enable "List all modes" in settings, select higher resolution of choice and voila. The only problem here is that the screen is scrolling in that case but you can in fact use 1920x1080 and record that. Problem is that you won't see half of the action actually on the screen. It will be recorded but you won't see it hehe
