    I normally have my screen resolution to 125%, which is recommended for my laptop. I also have it set to "Do Nothing" when I close the lid instead of "Sleep", "Hibernate", or "Shutdown. This worked perfectly fine until I updated to Windows 11, Version 24H2 a few days ago. Now, the moment I shut the lid, for some reason, the resolution resets to 100%. When I reopen the lid, I will see it at 100%, it will lag for a bit, and then go back to 125%. I want it to stay at 125% always, and don't understand why has to keep switching back and forth. I want to run some tasks while the lid is shut, but it

    I have a Toshiba Qosmio X775 with an NVidia GTX 560M adapter. The system originally had Windows 7 and was upgraded to Windows 10 last year. Late 2016, Windows update stopped working and would no longer update Windows or MS apps. To attempt to fix this,
    I installed the WIndows 10 anniversary edition. Since this update, when I close the lib on my laptop, the screen resolution changes and all my windows are shrunk and stuffed to the upper left corner of my display. My resolution is set to the default (recommended)
    resolution of 1920x1080. My system settings are set to "Do Nothing" when the lid is closed when plugged in and on battery. What else can be changed to fix this back so it wont mess up my display when I close the lid?

    There are no currently listed problems resetting version 24H2 of Windows 11 and no specific steps you need to perform, are you experiencing any problems with that insider build that is causing you to perform a Windows reset?

    Hi,

    It appears that your laptop hibernates when you close its lid. This feature terminates running processes on your machine since it allows the system to use very little power. If
    Do nothing is already selected for Choose what closing the lid does
    in Power Options, let's try to make hibernation unavailable. Follow these steps:

    • Right-click on the Windows icon on your home screen.
    • Select Command Prompt (Admin).
    • Click Yes if you get a prompt window.
    • Type powercfg.exe /hibernate off then press Enter.
    See if this will prevent the laptop from hibernating when you close the lid.
