  1. Screen Resolution reverting to 640x480 when opening certain games

Okay so I just got this issue about a few days ago and everything was fine before. When I am trying to open certain games the resolution reverts to 640x480 when the game launches instead of being 1920x1080. The main game it was doing this with was Batman Arkham City GOTY but then it started doing it with Borderlands 2 and Borderlands The Prequel also but I fixed the last two games because i set it to 1920x1080 resolution in the launcher before it launched. The same thing happened with Borderlands 1 but it had some in game resolution settings and it changed back to 1920x1080 when i applied the settings in game. As far as Batman Arkham City its still having issues along with some older games that are also stuck on this low resolution. I even set the resolution to 1920x1080 every single time through the Batman Arkham City launcher and it's still having the same issue. At this point the game is really unenjoyable to play at this low graphics level so does anyone know what I could do to get it working again???

    :)

    Compatibility problem (640x480 resolution)

I made the mistake of changing a program(Hearthstone Card game) to run in 640x480 compatibility mode. How do I return it to normal Windows 10 mode? Unchecking 640x480 did not work. Deleting and reinstalling
the game didn't work. Restarting PC didn't work. Removing registry entries with the program's name didn't work.

Windows returns to normal resolution when exiting the program. My question is how to get the program cleared of compatibility options that
I shouldn't have clicked in the first place. Unclicking 640x480 won't work since it doesn't show as being clicked.

    640x480 resolution problem

    Hi Jason,

This is Wil, one of the independent advisor, an expert with Windows 10 and a fellow Windows 10 user like you. I understand your concern about 640x480 resolution.

You would normally have a little window with a black box around it because basically that resolution can't be displayed fullscreen on the monitors that are in the market right now. May I ask why do you need to switch to 640x480 resolution.

I hope that you can reply back as quickly as possible so I can help you out further. Have a nice day.

    Thanks,

    Wilfred P.
