    Why did the screen resolution on my LG23a63 LED monitor, which is a 1920x1080, a perfect picture, drop back to 1280x1080? With that resolution screen looks terrible, Updated video card and monitor drivers to no avail.
    Thanks to all that answered my other guestions,

    That seems to have fixed it. Had the old AMD ATI graphics card. Things were a bit different but I installed the old 8.970.100.9001 driver. Hope it's fixed. Big Thank You.

    I have an LG and it's resolution stayed at 1920 x 1080 probably as that is it's native res.

    Can you post a screenshot of Advanced Display Settings with the Resolution dropdown expanded.

    Try going to the control panel
    Appearance and Personalization
    Display
    Screen Resolution
    Click on Advanced settings
    Then click on List all modes
    You should be able to select the correct resolution there

    It is. When win 10 build 10162 was installed 1980x1080 was the screen resolution, after a couple of days went back to 1280x1024.

    Check to see if Nvidia has any Windows 10 drivers, as AMD does. Those diver packages usually have the highest resolutions for the display.

    Check device manager and see what's listed under Display Adapters. If it says Standard VGA, that's your issue and you need to install your Video drivers again.
