    Screen saver on my laptop causes fans to run on full power.


    Hi, I have little problem that when I leave my laptop some minutes with screen turned on, black screen screensaver turns on, but fans always start to run full power. It seems like when display shuts down, something start to use all the hardware on full power. I don't understand it. Can you help me please?Thanks.

  2. Screen Saver and Sceen lock

    Hi,

    Regarding your concern, we suggest setting up power options first before setting the screen saver. You may perform these steps:

    • In the search box on the task bar, type Power Options,
      and then select Power Options.
    • Click Change Plan Settings.
    • Change the settings to Never.
    • Select Save changes.
    • Set your screen saver.

    Thank you for using Windows10.

    Let us know what happens exactly when you try to set the screen-saver or put the computer to sleep.

    I would suggest you to review he settings and check. Here is the steps:

    To change Screen Saver:

    • Press Windows/Start key.
    • Type Screen Saver and click on Change Screen Saver.
    • Select the screensaver from the drop down menu and click on Apply.
    • Click on OK.
    To put the computer in sleep:

    • Press Windows/Start key.
    • Type Power and click on Power Options.
    • Select Change when the computer sleeps in the left panel.

    Black screen, non-responsive, laptop fan runs at 100% power

    - Installed Creators Update on 12-April.

    - Checked/applied patches on 13-April.

    - Few hours after running, saw the laptop screen was black, mouse was unresponsive, and fan was running at 100% power. Had to hard power down the whole laptop.
