  1. Screen timeout - your response does not work

I have the following question and problem; and the same issue with your response - it doesn't work. - your post says it was recently update but can't find the update. Not very helpful - see below

The screen timeout numbers in my current configuration show timeout after 15 minutes, if plugged in. However, the screen actually times out within about a minute or less. I have checked every kind of timeout setting Windows 10 lets me see, but none of these show such a short time before the screen goes blank. Thanks for your help anyhow. I wish Windows software would stop trying to "help" me such much and let me think for myself more.

How will I know if your respond - hopefully with a correct solution.

    :)

  3. How to extend or eliminate the timeout at sign in on an Acer Windows

    Hi Lori,

To address your concern, we suggest that you adjust your screen timeout setting. It helps you set the time on how long before the screen will be locked due to inactivity.

You can follow the steps below on how to set your screen timeout:

    1. Right-click on the Desktop, then choose Personalize.

    2. Click Lock screen found on the left pane.

    3. Click Screen timeout settings at the bottom part of the page.

    4. Choose your preferred screen timeout on the drop down list under Screen.

    Let us know the result.

    Regards.

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.
