Windows 10: Screen turned greenish

I've lately started using my computer more and more and just then, after a normal day of starting my computer the screen suddenly turns green green on dark colours and pink on light I have no clue what I have to do know since I've already swapped my hdmi cabel still no sucess. Leaving me behind with a greenish screen.

Greenish tint on screen

Hey Microsoft

Every time when I boot my PC my screen automatically turns into a greenish tint. I can fix this when I change my resolution or do calibrate my colors but it comes back every time when I reboot/boot my pc. It also happens with some games that I play for example
Fortnite.

Could this be a bug? I got this problem right after that I had downloaded a new update of Windows 10.

Remedy Pink/Greenish Screen

I've been using a bequeathed, expensive at the time, 14-year-old HP laptop with an old Samsung 19-inch monitor for years, having added more RAM to its maximum (4GB) for my business and writing activities and it worked well. Recently, the screen became unbearable-to-view pink and the machine had great problem turning on, using the self-repair Windows function repeatedly not helping and I tried various Google-found suggestions with no change.

Reinstalling Windows from the cloud fixed the on/off performance problem but corrected the pink tinge only minimally though using the dark setting for browsers makes it usable again. Any suggestions how the fix the screen, it now being slightly greenish as I write this. I have an install CD for the old Samsung monitor but am hesitant to use it since it's intended for "Windows, Windows NT." I don't see a video driver anywhere on the laptop's Device Manager for adjustment.

At this point the old laptop/monitor combination is working adequately though, since it's essential for my work activities, I yesterday ordered as backup a Windows 11 Microsoft Surface laptop (which has the best personal reviews). It arrives next week though I'll still use my old HP until 2025 when Windows 10 is no longer supported since the Samsung monitor's screen is far larger than the Surface's. Thanks to all.

 

Surface Go: Change Graphic Setting for Bad Greenish Video Playback in WhatsApp Desktop?

Could you please confirm if you are using the WhatsApp in browser or WhatsApp application on your system?

I would suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it works out for you.

1. Press the Ctrl, Shift and Esc keys, this will open the Task Manager. Click on ‘More details’, click on ‘End task’ for all the instances of ‘Internet Explorer’.
   
2. Click on the Windows icon at the bottom left corner of your screen.
   
3. Type in ‘Control Panel’ and click on it.
   
4. In the ‘Control Panel’ window, click on ‘Network and Internet’, click on ‘Internet Options’, this will open a window named ‘Internet Properties’.
   
5. Click on the ‘Advanced’ tab, under ‘Accelerated graphics’, check ‘Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering’ and click on ‘Apply’, then ‘Ok’.
   
6. Restart your system and check if you are still experiencing a greenish video playback in WhatsApp Desktop.
