    After approximately 40 seconds of inactivity, my laptop’s screen will go dim, and then one minute after dimming the screen will turn off becoming black. However, if I touch the keyboard or touchpad before the screen turns off, the screen will lighten back up to its original brightness. Interestingly, when watching a video on a platform such as YouTube, the screen will not dim after 40 seconds of inactivity.I have turned off adaptive brightness, set the screen and sleep timer to “never,” and edited the power plan. None of these fixes have worked.My laptop is a Dell Latitude 5320, running Window

    Laptop goes to black screen in 2 minutes.


    Hello,
    Just installed Windows 10 yesterday. I have a Toshiba laptop.
    When no programs are running and I'm not working on the laptop, it automatically goes to a black screen now after 2-3 minutes. When I then touch a button or the mouse, it goes back to normal screen, and I can also see the internet connecting again.
    All my screensavers/shutdowns are set on 10 minutes or more.

    What can cause this?

    My laptop screen goes black for a second every few minutes

    Hey so, this has started happening 1-2 days ago where my laptop screen randomly goes black for a second, it appears to happen every few minutes or so, it doesn't do it by an action I do or anything, just randomly.

    I really don't know what to do, I've down sfc/scannow and dism check and everything is fine, but the black screen still pops up over and over, I've tried updating my drivers but my drivers are already up to date.

    Also it sometimes even happens every few seconds for a short time but then stops, and sometimes when I open up an app like discord the black screen pops up again for a second, sometimes it even happens twice in just 3 seconds.

    It's happening even worse now and more, my laptop just closed and booted up again.

    I just tried to record it and it didn't capture my screen going black, everything seemed fine in the recording.

    Edit: My situation has gotten worse, every 1 minute my laptop goes into sleep mode and I have to boot it back up and log in, and now a black screen pops up every few seconds, It's really bad.

    Can anyone help me?

    Dell XPS screen dimming

    I have a Dell XPS 15 9560 version 10.0.17763 Build 17763 running Windows 10 Home. I run 2 monitors through a Dell Thunderbolt docking station connected to my laptop via USB Type C. Its a great setup.

    When my laptop screen turns off because I am absent, it usually dims my laptop monitor. Sometimes I can fix this by simply increasing the screen brightness, other times this doesn't work (usually after it's happened 2/3 times) and I need to turn the dim
    down, restart my laptop then make brighter.

    This is really niggly, is there a fix to this?
