Windows 10: Screen won't turn off

I have my screen and sleep settings as in the screenshot below which is a little distorted as I've not worked out how to resize it without changing the aspect ratio - though looks like the resizing may have vanished after I posted it anyway. The screen does not switch off after 5 minutes, whether the laptop is unlocked or locked and whether it's on mains or battery. It has on occasion gone off after a time, but this is probably when it goes to sleep after 5 hours or when the battery gets too low. Does anyone have advice as to what is wrong?

• Check and verify if Cortana is activated?
• Does Cortana search and gives any output/result on screen?
• Is the Language and region settings set to valid value?
• Check and verify if Cortana available in your region?

Method 1:

I suggest you to try to turn Cortana off and then try turning it on back and check if she talks. Refer to the steps below to turn Off and On Cortana:

• Open Cortana.
• Click the hamburger button in the top left of the window.
• Go to Settings and click on off.
• Follow the same steps to turn it on.
• Check if issue persists.
