Windows 10: Screensaver as my lockscreen

    Screensaver as my lockscreen


    So found this really cool old screensaver i would love to use as my lock-screen when i log in, but i dont know how to set it as my lockscreen and there doesnt seem to be a way to. yes im well aware of wallpaper engine i currently use that but thats only desktop wallpaper, i want to use the screensaver file as a animated lockscreen background i dont care how complex it is to setup i just want to know how to do it.

    What I am trying to accomplish (on a PC) is to have a slideshow play after like 5 or 10 minutes. Then, after 30 minutes, have the monitor go blank. If I press a key, be presented with the Lockscreen.
    After watching and playing a little with the screensaver/lockscreen in Windows 10, Build 10074, I noticed that it is different from Windows 8.1. (For one thing, there is that mini-Sportlight.) In 10074 it seems to work in conjunction with the Screensaver, as opposed to cancelling it. In other words, before the Lockscreen slideshow starts, there needs to settings in the Screensaver. Otherwise the Lockscreen waits a set amount of minutes.
    This scenario hasn't worked perfectly. Is 10074 having bugs in that area? If my settings for screensaver are 'None', then the screen goes blank after 30 minutes (which seems to be the Lockscreen setting). However, there is no Lockscreen slideshow playing the way it works in 8.1. How do I accomplish that?
    Also, if the Lockscreen is presented, it shows the drab picture from Windows-Web-Screen, even if I select a Slideshow from my Pictures folder.
    Any ideas or tips? Thanks in advance.

    I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if that helps.

    • Go to the folder C:\Windows\System32 and sort by file type.
    • Look for the screensaver file type (.scr).
    • Find the file scrnsave.scr(you can choose any of the screensavers).
    • Right click and select send to>desktop (create shortcut). The shortcut on my attachment, but when i click on it my screen goes off and on and nothing else.Screensaver as my lockscreen :)

    Lockscreen slideshow as Screensaver

    Is there any way to use the lockscreen slideshow as a Screensaver? Or is there a way to let windows go to the lockscreen slideshow and be able to get back to desktop without entering a password?

    I totally LOVE the "auto collage" windows creates, but don't want to bother with a password.
