Windows 10: Screensaver picture location

I am not sure if I will be able to explain and ask my question in an appropriate way, but I will try my best.


Everyone here must be definitely locking up their PC by using the inbuilt security feature. So my question is : before you try to unlock the PC by using the functionality ctrl + alt & delete, you get the beautiful screen saver or picture which pops up by the Microsoft, so if i want to know the location of that picture then what functionality i should enable in ''settings'' to get to know the exact location of that picture?


Note: in some laptops, there is the functionality of knowing the location of the picture but in some it is not, so in the laptops in which that funsctionality is NOT turned ON , in such laptops how to TURN ON.


Any help will be appreciated.

Correct Directory Location For Pictures Folder


"Now Documents, Videos etc say file location is This PC. But Pictures file location is C:\Users\PeteyBoPetey\Pictures."

If we understand you correctly, the issue is that Pictures doesn't appear in the left panel under This PC. The correct location IS C:\Users\PeteyBoPetey\Pictures. This is only an issue of using Step 8 in the tutorial to add it back to the list. See if this screenshot is what you want to achieve- put Pictures folder back in list on L.

I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if that helps.

• Go to the folder C:\Windows\System32 and sort by file type.
• Look for the screensaver file type (.scr).
• Find the file scrnsave.scr(you can choose any of the screensavers).
• Right click and select send to>desktop (create shortcut). The shortcut on my attachment, but when i click on it my screen goes off and on and nothing else.

 

Screensaver doesn't work with pictures


I know some people have had issues with the screensaver not working. In my case all the screensavers work, except the one I want -pictures. I have always used pictures as a screensaver with other windows os with no problem.

What happens is I can see the pictures scrolling in the mini monitor it shows you, but when I hit preview or when it goes into action, the screen goes black. I have tried using different folders in different drives and using different pictures, but still nothing but black.

Any suggestions?
