Windows 10: Screensaver stops audio and streaming

Win 11 up to date, but not with optional KB5028254.Earlier versions of win 11 would be fine running VLC audio and youtube/streaming audio when screensaver came on. Now, since more recent updates unsure of which ones they both stop unless the screensaver is off. I have shut off the option in the power settings to "never" but this is not ideal- I'd like to have screensaver still be usable at the same time. Is there a workaround to this so that screensaver can still be used with these programs, running in the background with screensaver on as they did before?

As it is normal for the screensaver to stop the streaming once it kicks in, you may have to turn off your screen saver. To do that, you can follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key on the keyboard.
• Type Screen saver.
• You will see Turn off or On screen saver option in the search results.
• Click on Turn off or On screen saver.
• Select None in the drop down option for Screen saver.

When I'm streaming a radio station, as soon screensaver starts, the streaming stops. Is this normal operation?

I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if that helps.

• Go to the folder C:\Windows\System32 and sort by file type.
• Look for the screensaver file type (.scr).
• Find the file scrnsave.scr(you can choose any of the screensavers).
• Right click and select send to>desktop (create shortcut). The shortcut on my attachment, but when i click on it my screen goes off and on and nothing else.
