  1. Screenshot digital movie I own on Windows?

Sorry if this isn’t the right place to post.

So I’m trying to import a screen capture of a movie into Photoshop, but due to streaming service limitations they prohibit screenshots to avoid piracy. In my case however I thought owning the digital copy from a blu-ray+digital DVD combo would work around this issue, but I still can’t do it.

I thought owning the film would work, but is there any other way to do this? I know it’s possible because I see screenshots & video clips all over the internet in gifs or YouTuber reviews, etc. How can I screenshot this?

    Digital cameras and movie capabilities>Mpeg or.Mov ???

Got a grandchild on the way, will be looking for a digital camera for movies. It will have to be easy to use with windows or it's of no use to me. Mpeg all the way. I will not use Quicktime, it's on my list of 'delete whenever I get a new rig',(along with many others).
