Windows 10: Screenshots in fullscreen not working.

Whenever i try to take a screenshot via ctrl+shift+s in any fullscreen game it will just take a screenshot of whatever i have open under that. I have looked and windows + prntscreen does not work for me. I also want to know how to use win+shift+s in fullscreen applications. I have always had this problem and nothing i find online is of use. this is only on fullscreen applications mostly games

How do I screenshot a fullscreen program/game?

I always used to be able to use 'print screen' to screenshot anything, including fullscreen games, but a while ago, it stopped working.

I can still get screenshots of windowed programs, and the desktop, but fullscreen programs or games just end up with a big white box instead of a screenshot.

Is there any way to get it working again without installing any software?

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Open File Explorer and click on This PC in the left navigation pane.
• Navigate to the location: C:\Users\<Username>\Pictures\Screenshots.
• Right click on the Screenshots folder and select Properties.
• Click on the Location tab in the Properties Window.
• Change the location to the desired location and click on Move.

Lock vs Login screen screenshot

Thanks for the quick reply. While your suggestion does change the sign in process, it doesn't address the differing screenshot question. Following the steps doesn't make the login screenshot the same as the Lock screenshot. As I mentioned, I can't even find the screenshots being used for both screens.

Still looking a solution to this. Open to any other suggestions you might have to the problem. Thanks!
