Windows 10: Screenshots not saving or cannot be found

Hi, I use Microsoft Surface Go laptop with Windows 11. I have been able to save and look at my screenshots in Gallery. I've moved all my photos including screenshots onto an external drive. Since then, I cannot find the screenshots that I take. Gallery is empty. The "Pictures" folder is on my One Drive seems like it got automatically moved there. The folders there are empty as well.Please let me know how I can find the screenshots or ensure that they get saved and I can find them.Thank you!

How do I save snip screenshots as .JPG?

Hi,





You can save a screenshot directly as a .jpeg file in the Snipping tool. You can do that by following these steps:

• 
  Press File.
  
• 
  Select Save As....
  
• 
  Choose a File name.
  
• 
  Select the drop-down besides Save as type.
  
• 
  Select JPEG file.
  
• 
  Press Save.
