Windows 10: Scroll wheel only works in Windows 10 pages

HiI have a scroll wheel issue, recently occurred, which is very annoying. The problem is not with the mouse - it occurs with any mouse I use, wired or wireless, all of which work perfectly well on other machines. Running Wndows 10 on a home PC, up to date.The scroll wheel works OK within Windows applications, eg Control Panel, Device Manager etc. However, it doesn't work in any other application, eg web browser, Excel spreadsheet, Word doc etc.Driving me crazy, so any help appreciated.

jumping page when scrolling with mouse wheel

I am using windows 10 and recently my mouse started jumping the page up and down when using the wheel for scrolling. I have tried changing the settings like suggested but it doesn't work. What else can I do to fix this problem?

 

Scroll Wheel Not Working In Windows 10

This only happens when using the Edge browser in Windows 10. The scroll wheel will not work as indicated above. I don't have any of the programs mentioned above. If I click the wheel I can scroll by moving the mouse up and down and when I unclick the wheel
the wheel will work however if I open another page again the wheel will not work. I have sever different mouse's and it occurs on all of them
