Windows 10: Scroll wheel takes me back to previous page

Hi,I just encountered this problem today but whenever I scroll wheel up or down on chrome-- it takes me back to the previous page/site i was on; same with just scrolling up or down in desktop but it freezes my screen entirely which results me in having to manually restart my computer. I have updated my drivers to recent, updated windows, have tried uninstalling and installing the mouse driver, and have checked my mouse's settings. I have almost tried every solution I could find on the internet. I even used a different web browser OperaGX and it was doing the same thing.This wasn't happening in

Scrolling previous pages in Edge

After I search through several pages in Edge, the mouse wheel changes from scrolling up and down a page to scrolling through all the previous pages.

How do I stop it scrolling through previous pages?

jumping page when scrolling with mouse wheel

I am using windows 10 and recently my mouse started jumping the page up and down when using the wheel for scrolling. I have tried changing the settings like suggested but it doesn't work. What else can I do to fix this problem?
