Windows 10: Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop is not working eventhough it is connected.

So I bought the Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop. I plugged it in, but I am in vain even though Microsoft's mouse and keyboard center could see it, and I uninstalled the drivers a few times and rebooted the PC.I do have win7 on Dell Inspiron n4050 with i5 2nd gen

I suggest you to get in touch with the Microsoft Hardware
Support to know about the replacement criteria. Meanwhile, you may also go through the
Warranty Limit Manual given under Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop.

Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop missing keystrokes

Hello,

This issue with your Windows Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop is usually due to a corrupted or outdated device driver. However, for us to isolate the issue, we need additional information. Kindly answer the questions below:

• Have you tired to connect your keyboard to another PC to make sure that it is working properly?
• Are you getting any error messages?

In the meantime, we suggest that you run the Hardware and Device Troubleshooter. This automated tool will check the device connected to your PC for any known issue and resolve it automatically. Refer to this link to access the troubleshooter:

Sculpt ergonomic desktop freezes

We understand the concern as you are facing difficulties in connecting the
Sculpt ergonomic desktop set on the new PC.
In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

• What is the Version and Build of Windows 10 currently installed? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
• What is the make and model of the PC?

Meanwhile we would suggest you to update driver
and check.

1. Connect the Sculpt ergonomic desktop set
   
2. Press Windows + X key
   and select Device Manager from the context menu.
   
3. Spot and expand the “Universal Serial Bus controllers”.
   
4. Right click on the USB Composite Device driver and select
   “Update driver”
   
5. Select Search automatically for drivers. Follow the onscreen steps
   
6. Restart the PC and check.
