Windows 10: Sculpt keyboard skips a key or two every now and then and then starts working again...

I have a Sculpt keyboard that i connect to my laptop HP via a docking station. Every now and then, i have noticed that it would skip a key or two and then start responding again and i see the green light coming on for couple seconds, when it starts to respond back. Sometime the green light would come on randomly, but the typing is fine i.e. no skipping of keys. I do not see any red LED light either before or after the green LED. The keyboard is fairly new ~one month. I hardly ever use the function keys, so chances of them getting stuck is almost negligible. And since i am typing normally even when the green light is coming on, suggests that it is not the keys getting stuck, but there must be some other communication from the laptop and keyboard that is triggering this...


For most part, i do not have a problem but skipping a word or two, every now and then is annoying and it happens ~2-3 times a day i do use keyboard for 6-8+ hours/daily.


Also, just for completeness sake, the USB dongle is within a feet of the keyboard...


Any help with diagnosing the issue would be greatly appreciated.

Sculpt keyboard key issue, deassembly

I have a sculpt keyboard which I quite like. Unfortunately the g key has started not working consistently. I can't be sure, but with other keyboards, taking the cover off and removing debris would resolve the issue. How can I take the keyboard apart, at
least enough to get underneath the keys? Also, I was searching for a proper forum for this and could not find a Microsoft hardware forum, there must be one, any suggestions?

An outdated or incompatible driver can be one of the possible factors why this issue occurs. That being said, I suggest you to Run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter
and check. Follow the steps to run the troubleshooter:

1. Press Windows key + S on your keyboard.
2. Type Troubleshoot and hit
   Enter.
3. Click on Hardware and Devices.
4. Run the troubleshooter and follow the on-screen prompt.

Keyboard Volume Keys not working while in-game

I happen to have used the Tt Challenger Pro keyboard in the past, and the volume keys worked flawlessly in every game, so it's indeed a weird problem. I would suggest the same thing sneekypeet suggested, using the keyboard software and assign this function to a hotkey, but you said that didn't work either, so yeah...
