Windows 10: Sculpt Wireless USB Keyboard goes unresponsive

I am running Win11 on an HP Zbook. The 10 key and the mouse works flawlessly, but after about 30 seconds of non use, the keyboard will go dead. I pop a battery out and back in and it will work again, the green LED between the spacebars lights up, and all is well...until I stop typing for 30 seconds and its dead again. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling HID Keyboard device drivers, I have installed the MS Keyboard and Mouse center, I have rebooted a number of times. Nothing has worked. I have scoured the Help Section here and all of them say the same thing.

Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Wireless Desktop intermittently unresponsive

I am on my 3rd Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Wireless Desktop on 2 different computers (ASrock MB custom built).
All three have become intermittently unresponsive as follows:

• Typing along and it skips strokes leaving missing characters.
• Hitting the same key several times in a row with no response for several seconds and then typing the same character repeatedly.
• No response even after several seconds or even a minute. Only fix is to unplug and reinsert the USB receiver. Then it is good to go for a while.

The steps I have taken to resolve are as follows:

• Using Window 10 64 bit with all updates applied.
• Installed the latest version of the keyboard software from the Microsoft site
• Located the receiver less than 24" away from the keyboard using a USB extension cable

I love this keyboard and mouse so this problem is very troubling. Has anyone had this problem and resolved it successfully.

Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard and Mouse Connect to Different USB Adapter

Hi,

I have the Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard and Mouse (wireless with separate USB adapter). Is there any way to connect the keyboard to a different wireless USB adapter that belongs to another Sculpt Ergonomic Mouse?

I brought the keyboard to another system, which also has the same Sculpt Ergonomic Mouse. However, I did not bring the wireless USB adapter, assuming I would be able to pair the keyboard with another USB adapter of the identical product.

USB wireless transmitter for sculpt keyboard crashes Windows 10

The USB wireless transmitter for my sculpt keyboard keeps causing my Windows 10 to crash. Does anyone know how to fix this please?
