Windows 10: SD Card Not Detecting on Microsoft Laptop Sketch

I am please looking for some help, I am borrowing this laptop from my partner and I need it to detect the SD card.I went to the Device Manager, while I was doing so I found that the “ SDHC Card Properties “ said “ Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer.Code 45 To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer.“So I did that and it said that “The best drivers for your device are already installed.”And so I was reading that we can uninstall the driver and perhaps download a new one. Now the issue is when I open the Device Manager I CANNOT find the SD

My Lumia 635 is not detecting SD card

You may try the following steps:

• Try to remove the SD card and insert it again, make sure it's seated well without using too much force.
• If it still does not recognize the SD card, you may try to connect your SD card to PC via a card reader and format.
• Try using a different SD card and check if your Lumia 635 will recognize it.

 

SD card failure

• Did you get a specific error message?
• What are the troubleshooting steps you have done so far?
• What's the current build of your computer? Press Windows key + R and then type winver.
• Did you try to run a full system scan using your anti-virus? Can you tell us the result?
• Does your SD card has a write protection?

Meanwhile, you may try these troubleshooting steps:

Step 1: Run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter. Open Settings> Update & Security> Troubleshoot> Hardware and Devices> Run the troubleshooter.

Step 2: Check SD Card in Disk Management.

1. Open Disk Management.
2. Your SD card will appear as a removable disk.
3. Check if it has a drive letter.
4. If it does not show anything, right click the SD card and then select “Change Drive Letter and Paths”.
5. Click “Add” and select a drive letter, then click “OK”.

Step 3: Update SD card driver.

1. Open Device manager.
2. Find your SD card and right click it.
3. Select Properties.
4. Click the driver tab and then select Update Driver.

Note: You may need to use a keyboard and mouse to connect to your laptop to perform the said steps if it does not allow on tablet mode.

 

SD card detection.

I have a micro SD card that my phone detects and can access but when I plug it into the PC with a USB/SD card reader the PC can't open it. It appears in My PC as a drive but with no space consumed bar on it. When I double click to open the PC hangs and sometimes loses it's screen. What could be the issue?
