Windows 10: SD Card slot not working: Lenovo V14-ARE 14" FHD

I do not know if this is a hardware issue or software/driver problem.I recently inserted an SD card into the slot which I have been using for 6 months.The card showed up in My Computer.When clicked on it opened and then closed immediately.Now the card does not show up in my computer.I re-booted this has no effect.I have verified the card works in another laptop WIN 7I tried another card, and it does not workSolutions?Thanks, WV-Mike=====System Information report written at: 08/10/23 06:42:15System Name: LAPTOP-5UQ4L9LI[System Summary]Item Value OS Name &

SD Card Slot Not Recognized

Thanks for that suggestion. Diskpart only sees one disk, the SSD.

When I first received the SD card on Monday, it was working, but I did have some initial issues getting the system to recognize the card. I used the SD card to store an image of the system's SSD.

Apparently, you are correct. I gave the slot a couple of shots of electronics compressed gas duster, and the system started to recognize the SD card. So, I cleaned the slot with 99% pure, anhydrous isopropyl alcohol followed by compressed gas and my Meco Eleverde Compressed Air Duster.

The blow job seems to have resolved the issue.

 

SD card/SD card reader no longer working

Hi. New to this so not sure of category.
I have a Lenovo G70. Windows 10, 64bit
My SD card reader has stopped working.
In Device Manager, the SD card is not listed.
I can't format the card as it is not listed.
I cannot locate the card at all as it is not listed anywhere.
I've tried chkdsk and get 'Cannot open volume for direct access'
I don't even have the icon displaying when micro SD card is inserted.
It did work previously but I had errors. Scanning and fixing did not help.
I place the SD card in my Android phone and it works fine.
Please help!
