Windows 10: SD Card wiped out when switching between Windows 11 and 10?

I have two SanDisk 256GB Extreme microSDXC UHS-I Memory Cards with exFAT format, A Windows 10 computer, and a Windows 11 computer. I share my USB devices using an IOGEAR GCS1932H 4-Port 4K KVMP Switch. Yes, the Windows computers are fully updated.I was able to read the contents of the SD cards on the Windows 11 computer, and I've been able to read the contents on the Windows 10 computer in the past.Today, I read the contents on the Windows 11 computer, used the KVM switch to move over to the Windows 10 computer, then used the KVM switch to move back to the Windows 11 computer.Now when I acce

If I have understood the issue, your Win Jr. doesn’t recognize your SD Card.




Try to perform these steps until your phone will recognize the SD card (for a max number of 5).

• Switch off the phone.
• Pick the SD card out.
• Switch on the Phone.
• Switch off the phone.
• Insert the SD Card.
• Check if the phone has detected it.
• If no, repeat the sequence from point 1.

Format SD Card

Try with this

Method 1. Run Diskpart to Format SD Card That Won't Format

Step 1. Press Windows key and R key at the same time, type cmd in the Run box, hit Enter to open the command prompt(cmd.exe).

Step 2. Type diskpart to run Diskpart Utility.

Step 3. Type list disk to list the drives on the computer.

Step 4. Type select disk 1 (The number should be replaced by the exact drive number of your SD card).

Step 5. Type clean to run the clean utility (this will wipe all data on the SD card so make sure you saved a copy or backup of the card data).

Step 6. Type create partition primary to create a new partition on the SD card.

Step 7. Type select partition 1 (it should be the newly created partition on step 6).

Step 8. Type active to make the partition active.

Step 9. Type format fs=ntfs （or format fs=fat32）to format the partition to the desired file system.

SD card/SD card reader no longer working

Hi. New to this so not sure of category.
I have a Lenovo G70. Windows 10, 64bit
My SD card reader has stopped working.
In Device Manager, the SD card is not listed.
I can't format the card as it is not listed.
I cannot locate the card at all as it is not listed anywhere.
I've tried chkdsk and get 'Cannot open volume for direct access'
I don't even have the icon displaying when micro SD card is inserted.
It did work previously but I had errors. Scanning and fixing did not help.
I place the SD card in my Android phone and it works fine.
Please help!
